Kuralay Meirbekova will present her second solo exhibition ‘Entity’ in Helsinki. Showcasing her reflection on unity of forms and emotions.

This time she will engage her graphical drawings with the gallery space, by using her continuous line drawing.

Kuralay Meirbekova (b. 1990) is a contemporary artist from Almaty, Kazakhstan. The focus of her interest are people, their emotions and interactions.

For the past three years she has been exploring the one line technique. Just using blank paper and black liner, lately it evolved into mixed technique paintings.

“The nature of a line fascinated me by its intricacy and simplicity at the same time. This approach naturally spread to other media, like video animation, metal wire installations and textile art.”
