My vision experimental film residency in Dushanbe is now accepting applications.
The residency will take place from July 7 to September 1, 2018. The project is implemented with support from Tajikfilm state agency and The British Embassy in Tajikistan, in partnership with Tajikistan Filmmakers Union and ADAMDAR/CA platform.
This residency is aimed at increasing knowledge of film production among residents of Tajikistan aged between 18 and 35 who have work experience in filmmaking or other media and at promoting positive image of the country by means of documentary films about Tajikistan.
To participate in the project, candidates must be interested in increasing their knowledge in such fields as documentary film direction, script writing, sound engineering, cinematography, producing, editing, production design. The program implies exchange of best practices between Tajik professional movie-makers and foreign documentary makers.
To apply for the program, candidates must fill the application form and present a synopsis of the documentary film they are planning to produce within the program. Priority will be given to applications that address various aspects of cultural and historical heritage of Tajikistan while demonstrating the author’s original vision. Residency masters will help students adapt their projects and implement them in a professional manner. Directors who take the course will get further assistance in making their films and help in promoting them from the project.
